Make me Smile
I have this hanging in a treatment room. I was drawn to it because of its name. I loved it for the colors i saw in the picture. I love it now for the brilliant colors, texture, and beauty on my wall. So, so very pretty.
Something to cheer me up!
I ordered this beautiful mirror because I needed something to cheer me up. Good news, it did. The detail of vendors selling hats and face masks for fiesta has me smiling every time I look at it. I have ethnic items throughout my home from personal travels. I dont have any artistic gifts myself; but, I certainly enjoy the work of those who do!
The art of weaving feels so wholesome and welcome I find these days amid challenging news. The weave of our interconnection as sentient beings on our mother earth! This gorgeous wool tapestry of the tree of life in blossom, with birds all around & through its branches, touches my heart. I am grateful for the work of this gifted artisan!
Angel Ceron Artisan Association Ceramic replicas and figurines
"Now that I'm retired, I can dedicate my time to my great passion – representing my pre-Hispanic cultural heritage."
"I've been working hand-in-hand with NOVICA since 2003. It was my nephew, Eduardo Escamilla, who suggested I work with NOVICA, and I found the project to be spectacular. As you may know, I'm an engineer by profession but I feel an overwhelming passion for our... read more

Handcrafted Ceramic Jaguar Warrior Mask Wall Art from Mexico, "Noble Jaguar"$119.99
Fierce and focused is the gaze of the Jaguar Warrior depicted in this ceramic mask handcrafted by the Angel Ceron Artisan Association of Mexico. Inspired by the images of these warriors from the 14th and 15th centuries found in Texcoco, the mask is a warrior's face beneath the sharp teeth of a jaguar. Above the jaguar head is an ornate headdress topped with a smaller open-mouthed jaguar and warrior face. The mask's details are hand painted in a myriad of earthy colors. A small loop at the top of the mask allows for it to easily be hung on a wall.
Hand Crafted Archaeological Ceramic Calendar, "Honey Aztec Sun Stone"$69.99
Angel Cerón presents a faithful replica of the Aztec calendar, known also as the "Sun Stone." According to pre-Hispanic beliefs, there have been a total of five suns, including the current one. According to legend, the previous four, together with humans, were destroyed by the gods' wrath. The calendar represents the fifth sun and tells the story of the past four and marks the changing of the seasons. The Aztecs (or "Mexica," as they called themselves) believed the sun struggled daily against the forces of darkness. They aided the sun through human sacrifices.
Artisan Crafted Gujarati Recycled Cotton Wall Hanging, "Benevolent Earth"$127.99
Rich earth colors evoke a hilly landscape seen from above. Surrounded by lavish embroidery, the patchwork motifs are adorned with beadwork and sequins. Meena presents a lovely Gujrati wall hanging that is crafted by hand. Thus each is an individual work of art and may vary slightly in color and pattern from that shown.
Repoussé Copper Mirror India Ceramic Wall Art Handmade, "Autumn Warmth"$209.99
Kissed by forest green, autumn's warmth radiates from this lovely wall mirror. Khalid Ali works in the ancient repoussé technique to create a mirror frame with rich textures. He crafts the frame of mango wood, while copper panels alternate with ceramic tiles to surround the looking glass. Glass baubles adorn the piece.
