My mom received her gift today and she was extremely happy! She showed me pictures, the moons were beautifully painted, loved every details. Package was so carefully wrapped it took her a while to open it and she also said that she didn t want to open the gift box as it was too adorable to. Thank you so much Mr Arriola for making her smile.
This is a wonderful design and shows great workmanship and attention to detail. A really worthwhile purchase.
I see this in the morning when I first wake up, and it helps to fill my day with a reverential joy. The inspiration story of Juan Diego and his vision is told in beautiful colors and a lovely design. I thank the artist very much for this lovely cross.

Hand-Painted Pinewood Wall Cross of Mary from El Salvador, "Virgin of Guadalupe and..."$29.99
Working to provide a steady stream of work for its artisans, the Salvadoran cooperative God's Seed presents this religious wall cross. Crafted of pinewood, the cross is carefully painted by hand, centered by the image of Mother Mary. She is surrounded by floral motifs and birds with San Diego depicted at the bottom.
Ceramic and Iron Bird Wall Art from Central America, "Forest Melodies"$109.99
"Guatemala is home to more than 720 species of birds, and yet few people are concerned with preserving their natural habitat. This wall sculpture is my way of showcasing some of those birds, as well as to pledge the respect I have for nature," says the talented Jose Arriola. Working with terracotta he crafts 20 colorful birds: two hummingbirds, a black toucan and a green toucan, four macaws, three parakeets, two peacocks, an oriole, a harlequin woodpecker, a yellow-breasted sparrow, a horned guan, and three surucua. These last ones are on the endangered species list. Painted with vivid realism, the birds are perched on a forged iron tree designed to hang on the wall.
The birds hang from the branches with galvanized iron hooks which allow them to be displayed as desired.
Though size, motifs and color may vary slightly due to their hand crafted nature, the types of birds remain the same.
