The Cantel Blown Glass Artisans work with recycled glass that would otherwise end up in a landfill, making their pieces eco-friendly in addition to being beautiful. The artisans hand-blow this clear glass figurine of the Virgin Mary, her head bowed and her hands clasped in prayer. Small flecks and bubbles in the statuette are a testament to the hand-crafted process.

Using crocodile wood, Nyoman Indrawati Subrata of the Subrata Family depicts Buddha in a state of eternal bliss. The smooth, symmetrical features radiate intense spirituality and a soothing sense of tranquility. This superlative mask is carved by hand. The artisan carries on the extraordinary art work of her late father, Nyoman Subrata.

Inspired by Christian beliefs, Balinese artisan Made Wardika hand-carves the portrait of Jesus from bone. He works with an intricate level of detail, diligently capturing Jesus's features as well as the thorned crown upon his head. The letters INRI are inscribed at the top of the pendant. This necklace adorns the wearer on an adjustable length of leather cord.

Facing death on the cross, Christ wears a crown of spiny thorns. For Christians, Good Friday marks a decisive moment as Jesus offers his life to atone for the world's sin. George Obeng works in warm teak wood to carve this sensitive relief sculpture for the wall.

Poised gracefully on a lotus blossom, Sri Pudak carries the accoutrements of her office in this delicate sculpture by Wayan Rendah. Revered throughout Bali, the beloved deity holds a leaf, sign of fertility, and a precious stone, representing prosperity. The bird on her shoulder is a symbol of life. Balinese farmers often organize feasts and temple celebrations in her honor during the rice harvest. Using the clear colors of natural crocodile wood to advantage, Rendah carves her slender, elongated form in a work of enduring beauty.

Master carver Wayan Rendah patiently works upon a piece of suar wood to reveal the imposing presence of Lord Shiva – God of Destruction. Rendah hand-carves the deity with supreme delicacy holding a lotus flower and his traditional whip in two of his hands as he sits upon a lotus throne.

A powerful spiritual deity within the Hindu Triad, Shiva purifies the world through the destruction of all that is negative. According to Balinese Hinduism, Shiva is the god who prepares one for reincarnation and hopefully a better life, if one has lead an exemplary life. However if your karmas (actions) have been less than exemplary, Shiva will punish appropriately.
