The skulls satiny black is a lovely accent to the collection of Mexican articles on display in the red hutch in my kitchen. I am very pleased to have acquired this sculpture.

Day of the Dead Mariachi with Guitar Wood Statuette, "Mariachi de los Muertos"
Guatemalan artisans Juan and Carolina handcraft this pinewood statuette of a mariachi skeleton in the style of the "Day of the Dead." The mariachi is dressed in a traditional black outfit with white stitching and plays his orange guitar. The mariachi's arms are hinged at the elbow so that he can "play" the guitar.
Hand Painted Multi-Color Floral and Dove Ceramic Skull, "Glorious Ancestors"
This ceramic skull statuette is full of vibrant color and intricate details hand painted by Mexican artisan Eufrosia Pantaleon. Multi-color floral motifs are painted across the skull, along with two doves and lively colorful accents around the eyes and nose.
Handcrafted Multicolor Ceramic Skull Sculpture from Mexico, "Story of Death"
Inspired by Aztec religion, this ceramic skull sculpture is decorated with images of Mictlantecuhtli, the Aztec god of death. Artisans from the Angel Cerón Artisan Association handcraft the sculpture and give it an antiqued finish.
Hand-Painted Catrina-Themed Ceramic Sculpture from Mexico, "Catrina Tree of Life"
Mexican artisan Javier Ramirez pays homage to the cultural tradition of skeletal with this "tree of life" sculpture. In the center, a lovely catrina skeleton holds a bouquet while wearing a floral dress, surrounded by figurines depicting flowers and skulls. Each piece is diligently crafted from ceramic and painted by hand, assembled by steel wire.
