Love my new little Blue Jay

Product picture

I have this one perched on an antique crock (on top of my Baker's Cabinet)... looking up at a blue jay painting that my son bought for me. I love how the two works of art look together. I have purchased many of Mauricio's birds for myself and to give as gifts. All are incredible works of art.

Another Way Of Perserving One Of Our Wildlife.

Product picture

I have purchased several items from this artist for myself but when I laid my eyes on this beautiful "snowy owl" I knew I had to buy this for a friend who is a HUGE fan of Hedwig from the J.K. Rowling's books of "Harry Potter". The incredible coloring, lines and design of this owl by the artisan makes you think that he had a snowy owl in his studio posing as a model for this ceramic piece. When I presented it to my friend, he couldn't have been more surprised but also more happy upon receiving it which in turn made me pleased.

So heavy and Happy!

Product picture

I was amazed at the weight of this happy Buddha. He is now sitting with a collection of Asian bronze pieces that I inherited from my dad. He fits in perfectly. I am very very pleased with my purchase

History of Sculpture

Sculpture has arguably been one of the most important forms of documenting the human experience throughout history. Compared to other art forms, it is extremely universal - the act of using ones hands (and/or basic sculptural tools) to craft art has been found in most ancient civilizations, ranging from the Roman Empire to the Mayan and Inca empires in the Americas, as well as isolated tribes in Polynesia and deep in the Amazon jungle.
