She loves it
This was a major hit with my wife. The piece is truly beautiful and the image of a heart on fire was perfect for Valentines Day. She couldnt wait to see it so I gave it to her early.
My third one! Yes, theyre that good!
I bought the first one for myself as a confirmation gift because one of our Deacons, in a class for new Catholics, said every Catholic home must have a few things - one of them was a statue or photo or painting, etc., of our Blessed Mother Mary. I bought the second for a woman in my Bible study, who is from Peru and just moved into a new home. I bought the third one for my sister, because when she saw a photo of mine, she fell in love with it - not for the religious appeal, but from a folk art perspective - and after looking at many online, I cant agree more. I watched the video of how the artisan makes the retablo and it added even greater value to it. I simply love them. I love the scene behind Mary - the high mountains, and the flowers, in a wooden box with doors. I mounted mine on a wall in my home office and see it from where I sit. Im buying the next one as a thank you gift for a close friend who I will be visiting in a few weeks.

Hand Crafted Andean Gemstone Sculpture, "Energy of the Pyramid"
Natural gemstones combine their innate beauty with their natural energies in a pyramid. Meticulously sculpted by Cesar Gonzales, it combines calcite, celestite, serpentine, white onyx, rhodochrosite, aragonite and black onyx, displayed from top to bottom. The artisan recommends having two or three pyramids oriented toward the north or east near a window, for light. In this way, the earth elements balance the energies in the environment.
Handcrafted Glazed Turquoise Ceramic Sculptures (Set of 3), "Modern Nativity"
Nicaraguan artisan Jacobo Potosme demonstrates his imagination and creativity with this unique set of sculptures. Inspired by the Nativity, Potosme crafts three pieces from ceramic. The largest piece symbolizes Joseph, the middle piece represents Mary, and the small piece which lies inside both the others is the baby Jesus. Finished in turquoise, the sculpture has triangle motifs on the sides.
Aztec God of Underworld Handcrafted Ceramic Sculpture, "Seated Mictlantecuhtli"
This fascinating handcrafted ceramic sculpture depicts Mictlantecuhtli, the Aztec god of death that presided over the underworld. Glazed with matte earth tones and accented in a light wash of russet red and teal, Mictlantecuhtli sits on a throne wearing a magnificent headdress and surrounded by skulls. This sculpture is presented by Rita Sandoval of Mexico.
