Peruvian Multicolor Cultural Sculpture
By Mary Ruth
A true artisan, Julio Gallardo's imagination, flair and technical skill bring the return of the dead to life. Expression, gesture and color capture the celebration night and a slice of Peruvian tradition and culture.
This is a wonderful retablo with obvious craftsmanship both inside and out , lots of detail and it showcases Julio's obvious pride in his work. The subject matter also makes it an unusual piece for my collection.
Purchased this as part of our Novica collection which is placed throughout our home. A lovely work of art complimenting others of similar nature which is cherished. A very talented artist. Wonderful.
"I love this work so much! It's simply amazing what a person can achieve when we find our true passion. There's nothing like it."
