"I have had opportunities for working at other jobs, but I feel incomparably happy to accept some privations to live through art and, mainly, for art."
"At the age of ten, I became aware of my ability to paint works for school and, when my teachers saw my talent, they encouraged me to specifically study art and work more on my creative side. I didn't take them very seriously and stopped practicing for a long time. I finished school and began to work in sales, which I did for many years, but I never felt realized. I decided to take up my studies in art again in 1999 when a practical joke at work caught my attention. I was drawing my colleagues, doing portraits, when a friend turned and said, 'You should dedicate yourself more to the arts!' It was a breakthrough!
"I took a course in the university's School of Fine Arts and I felt complete. An almost inexplicable sensation! When I am painting it is as if the world stops and only my canvas and I exist. I live in a constant search to define my style, to clear my eye and sensitivity, to improve my work and to complete that pleasant addiction of painting. I have had opportunities for working at other jobs, but I feel incomparably happy to accept some privations to live through art and, mainly, for art. That is my true passion."
