"Dear collectors, I hope that my work will bring as much joy into your home as it did me while creating it."
"My name is Doris Kraushaar and I was born on December 28, 1962 in Vienna, Austria. My husband and I left for Asia with our first daughter, and settled in Thailand. Seven years later our second daughter was born, in Bangkok. Our family increased when we fostered a Thai girl. We have been living in Chiang Mai ever since, except for Rebecca, my first born, who lives in London.
"The spiritual essence of Thai culture and traditions has had a significant influence on me. I am in general a happy and positive person. I love my life and look forward to a great future. My goal is to be happy and thankful every day of my life, and share it with everyone around me. I am a proud person, but welcome challenges and will give my very best to fulfill them. My greatest challenge is to be a good example to my daughters.
"I have always had – for as long as I can remember – a strong urge to discover, create and express. Now, I would also like to preserve in my works the feelings we have for future generations. Everyday of my life beholds a new inspiration in some way, as I never know its outcome.
"I believe in the art of expression, and therefore work in many different styles, using mostly oils on all kinds of different materials. I have worked with clay, wood, clothes, and plaster. I did installations and sculptures, but in the end I settled on painting, for it fulfills me the most. My trajectory as an artist includes several individual and collective exhibits that include paintings, installations, photography, and textiles. And, I have also performed in several theatrical performances.
"Novica promotes art around the globe so it is a great opportunity for artists such as me, to join and be seen around the world. I would like to thank Novica, and the lovely Mrs. Pia Wunna, for your great support.
