Modern Cubist Female Nude Painting from Brazil, "Woman"
Brazilian artist Ney Cardoso works in his characteristic style of bold colors and strong lines to paint this original acrylic on canvas painting. The Cubist-style composition depicts a nude woman with one arm across her body, as if out of modesty. The intensity of the color palette and the dark delineation of shapes suggests strong emotions.
Original Signed Cubist Style Painting of a Young Nude Woman, "Nude"
A nude is seated, her arms wrapped around her knees, her thoughts far away. The sun caresses her girlish body and illuminates her short red hair. Working in cubist style, David da Costa depicts her in a sensitive portrait that conveys an understanding of the psychology of youth.
Titled "Nu" in Portuguese.
Signed Impressionist Acrylic Painting of Female Nude, "Female Body"
Brazilian artist Ney Cardoso says, 'Women fascinate me with their beauty and mystery. I like to bring this beauty, mystery and interest to my canvases, often rife with human conflict and emotion.' In this original acrylic on canvas painting, he depicts a woman in the nude, arms raised above her head. She appears comfortable with her sensuality; inviting the viewer to admire her curvaceous form. Cardoso's admiration for the great masters Van Gogh and Matisse are evident in his Impressionistic handling of the subject.
Mexican Surrealist Limited Edition Signed Silkscreen Print, "The Gold Goya"
Using silkscreen techniques to produce this vividly-colored image, Antonio Martínez produces a surrealist work with an unsettling quality. He depicts a rooster man wearing a traditional or "hat," seated in a rocking chair and smoking a pipe. In his arms, the figure holds a rooster on which a nude woman rests; the female bears a striking resemblance to the nude woman portrayed in Spanish painter Francisco Goya's late 18th century work, or "The Naked Maja." The Mexican artist presents an enigmatic creation in which he weaves elements of quotidian rural life in Mexico with European-influenced imagery. The limited edition print is signed and numbered.Titled "El Goya de Oro" in Spanish.
