Original Signed Painting of a Surreal Bull from Brazil, "Vermilion Bull"
Silken ribbons seductively caress the figure of a brawny bull who trots across the canvas without fear. Ricardo Siccuro creates an almost surreal image, realistic yet imaginary. Vermilion red makes a stunning contrast on the black background, and a geometric motif surrounds the fanciful image.
Titled "Touro vermelho" in Portuguese.
Indian Original Painting on Canvas Tree of Life in Red, "Before the Break of Dawn"
Dr. Sneh Gangal of India presents this painting, a technique that combines pen-and-ink drawing with painted shading. The result is a red and white illustration of the blossoming tree of life, rich with birds and flowers on a red background.
Modern Gecko Painting with Printed Cotton Accent in Red, "Wall Gecko in Red"
Featuring a printed cotton accent in red, this painting from Ghanaian artist K. Baka will add a touch of African culture to your home. Dotted accents are painted by hand, forming the head and limbs of a striking gecko. This painting is completed on card stock with a red mat border.
Mexican Surrealist Limited Edition Signed Silkscreen Print, "The Gold Goya"
Using silkscreen techniques to produce this vividly-colored image, Antonio Martínez produces a surrealist work with an unsettling quality. He depicts a rooster man wearing a traditional or "hat," seated in a rocking chair and smoking a pipe. In his arms, the figure holds a rooster on which a nude woman rests; the female bears a striking resemblance to the nude woman portrayed in Spanish painter Francisco Goya's late 18th century work, or "The Naked Maja." The Mexican artist presents an enigmatic creation in which he weaves elements of quotidian rural life in Mexico with European-influenced imagery. The limited edition print is signed and numbered.Titled "El Goya de Oro" in Spanish.
