Carmen Ruiz is inspired by the legendary art of the Zapotec people in the design of this bedspread. She weaves it on a traditional pedal loom with fiery red cotton threads, creating glyph-like patterns in white and black.

"Love so much just bought another"
Beautiful creative detail and craftsmanship. I am inspired by Carmen Ruizs work. Bedroom feels like a sacred chapel. Excellent materials and heavy weight 100% cotton.

"Beautifully woven bedspread!"
This bedspread is worth every penny! It is ample in size for a king sized bed, whereas most bedspreads are not. The fabric is a little heavy, but not too much, and gives one the sense of security when sleeping. The red color is very rich and looks elegant in our bedroom. I love the tassels and the workmanship is excellent. I will enjoy this purchase for many years!

"Beautiful! Just the right weight."
My puppy damaged our first one but I kept it to have shams made from the remains. We ordered a new one, which the puppies are not allowed to touch. I cannot tell you how beautiful this is and it is so well made. It is definitely an heirloom piece. It is a little larger than normal king size which i love. Keeps us covered and not competing for cover as we sleep. Perfect for Deep South Texas hot weather. The thread and weave are thick and tight enough to make for a very durable and weighty but still light compared to blankets, comforters or quilts. Loved it so much I bought an ivory one and am now back for another of this colorful one just in case something happens to the one I have. My only suggestion would be to improve the color match of the tassel thread to be brighter like the colors in the weave. Still, I LOVE it and LOVE Carmen for sharing her beautiful art with us.

"Gorgeous pillow cover"
This pillow cover is fabulous! I love it so much I bought another in a different color, and I m considering a third! The weaving is so beautifully and skillfully done. Looking at it on my couch makes me happy!
