Delivery EstimateThis handsome babul acacia and kadam wood chess set handcrafted by Khyali Ram of India is perfect for the master strategist on the go. The artisan selects a different stain for each type of wood to both showcase the wood's beautiful grain and to distinguish the light and dark chess pieces and squares on the board. Each chess piece is hand carved and has a magnet on the bottom to hold it to the board when playing. The chess board folds and latches to become a carrying case with the inside storage compartments lined with padded green velvet to cushion the pieces.

"Beautiful and practical chess set!"
Well made and aesthetically pleasing travel chess set. The pieces are magnetic and stick to the board, which is convenient for travel and playing with younger children (teaching them chess). A smaller size board and pieces, but I prefer that. Thank you.

"Very well made set -- a gift for my son"
My soon-to-be-grandson loves to play chess... Now my son has a set to help him learn the strategy of the game better. This is a high quality set. I was looking for one with traditional looking pieces. I loved that I could send it to him already wrapped, too (I chose the fancier gift wrap).

"Travel chess set"
I bought two of these for grandchildren leaving for college. The chess pieces and board were perfectly made and presented and packed beautifully. Novica has provided items for me before and has become the go-to source for finding important memories for family and friends

"Perfect Game"
I bought this game as a gift for my family to spend time with each other. My grandfather loved bowling so much and this little game helps me to pass on the tradition to another generation. I love that this game is small and portable.
