West African Style Original Acrylic on Canvas Painting, "Koti II"
Fascinated by the arts from a young age, Seth Korkordi Selom of Ghana paints this original acrylic on canvas painting. Two men stand rigidly in the colonial-style uniforms of soldiers or policemen. The figures are framed by West African motifs in scarlet and brown. The artist names his composition Koti, which means "police" in the Akan language.

"Sources of Livelihood"

I bought a painting from Mr. Selom and took it to a framer without opening the box--we opened it together. Wow, what an impression! The framer was blown away too. It looked nice over the Internet, but sometimes things don't look the same live. This was even better--incredible colors. Kudos to the artist.
