Inspired by pre-Hispanic cultures, Costa Rican artisan Luis Alberto Gutierrez creates this striking mini decorative vase. He handcrafts the vase of ceramic, its body decorated with etched imagery of the Nicoya people, depicting earth-tone wave motifs against black. The vase stands atop three little feet, and the colors are realized with natural pigments.
