Delivery EstimateIn this fanciful original design from Ghanaian artisan Awudu Saaed, he praises both bird and beast by adding a carved bird head at the crown and facial beading in the shape of an elephant's head. The mask is hand carved from sese wood, and embellished lavishly with colorful glass beads and brass plates. The artisan names the mask Ekua, the name given to a child born on a Wednesday in the Twi dialect of Ghana.

"Wonderful Birthday Gift"
I purchased this mask as a birthday gift for my my mother. She absolutely adores this mask and it has quickly become her all time favorite in the house. The beading and brass detailing is absolutely exquisite. You will not be disappointed with this purchase!

"Incredible Artwork"
Not sure how I stumbled upon this mask in the first place but from the moment I saw it, something about it haunted me. Its beautiful. I could NOT stop thinking about it and finally caved, and Im so glad I did. The colors, the beadwork, and the craftsmanship are all incredible. This is my favorite piece of art we own, by far. I cant wait to collect more of Awudu Saaeds work.
