Named Fakye, which means "forgive" in the Akan language of Ghana, this mask is presented by Akoma of West Africa. Local artisans diligently hand-carve the mask from sese wood. Red and yellow designs alongside triangular patterns of embossed aluminum decorate the cheeks.
