On the surface of this decorative box, the sun and the moon hold each other in a solar embrace. Peruvian artisan Felicita Espinoza designs the box. Working in the colonial style of reverse-painted glass, she hand-paints the design onto the box's blue surface, given a gold-tone trim. It opens with a hinge to a single-compartment interior for storing small items and keepsakes.

"A Christmas Gift? Maybe , maybe not!"
This box is beautiful. The only problem with it is that I bought it for a Christmas gift and find it difficult to part with it! A very good dilemma.

"Beautiful box."
This box is gorgeous. Beautiful colors. Its not super big... perfect for items on your dresser... or anywhere. You can use it for jewelry or receipts or whatever. It tells a story and is so beautiful!

"A beautifully made little chest with beautiful colors!"
I bought this chest for my best friend for Christmas. I was so very pleased when I got it because it was so much more beautiful than the picture. The reverse-painted glass has many wonderfully colored flowers, plus a pretty blue bird with a yellow head. I love this box and so will my friend! Thank you Felicita for another extra special box from your talented hands (I have 3 boxes and want more).

"A truly beautiful jewelry box with Andean women going about their lives."
This is the second reverse painted jewelry box I have purchased from this artisan. The first box was called Mother and Daughter. I love the manner in which Felicita portrays Andean life in simpler times. Her boxes are beautiful and very colorful and I truly love looking at them. This box has a lovely blue sky and women weaving and walking home. Their clothing is so colorful! I feel like Felicita gives me a window into the life of women in the Andes. I thank her for her beautiful work!
