Steel and Copper Adinkra Sankofa Sculpture from Ghana, "Modern Sankofa"
Signifying the importance of learning from our past, sankofa is an African adinkra symbol that depicts the image of a bird reaching to grab an egg off of its back. Ghanaian artist Fiifi Nkuah creates this Sankofa sculpture of steel, using knots and openwork mesh for a modern addition to your home. The bird reaches to grab an egg made of copper wire.
