Crowned with faceted blue topaz, a sterling silver sphere hosts a shining brass globe inside. It chimes like a small bell. From Sukartini, the handcrafted pendant is worn on a very long silver chain.
Also called "angel necklaces" and "harmony balls," Such necklaces are often worn by pregnant women in Bali and also in Mexico. The chain lets the pendant reach to the belly and the delicate sounds are thought to soothe the mother and the baby she is carrying. Some believe it summons a guardian angel, thus making it a symbol of loving protection.

"Pretty"
I love this piece. However am disappointed that it does NOT CHIME unless you pick it up and SHAKE IT. Yrs ago I had a chime bead that had an exquisite sound, and I loved it. This is not the same, but it is very pretty and I will keep.
