Signed Original Allegorical Oil Painting of the Life Cycle, "From Birth to Death"
Shipping Timeframe: 3 to 6 weeks. Delivery Estimate
By Filiberto Chalí, this intriguing canvas explores the mysteries of life and death, and all that comes between. The story begins in the upper right corner where a baby falls earthward, the umbilical cord dotted by nine tiny spheres representing the period of gestation. He then appears as a toddler and a young boy who ponders the choices ahead. What path will he choose? Good or evil? Will he follow his father into a fulfilling panorama of hard work, family and faith, the images bathed in pearly light? To the left, the boy drinks rum from a bottle, worships pagan deities and walks toward the end in the company of witches and corruption. The Grim Reaper awaits and our character watches another lost soul plunge into the fiery pit of hell.

"I was drawn by the freedom of expression and the ability to express my feelings on canvas, creating scenes in the infinity of colors and tonalities that nature gives us each day."
