With her face to the sky, a beautiful mermaid stretches her lithe body. Yoga fans will recognize her pose as the bhujangasana, or "cobra pose." Made Tresna carves the image from Balinese suar wood, detailing the lovely features while exalting the natural wood grain.

"It is filled with something rather wonderful"
I bought this for a dear friend. I call her a Mermaid, and she loves Yoga. I truly think the craftsman put himself into the figure as he worked. When it arrived I just stared at it, and put it in the sunshine, still beautifully wrapped. Visitors sat and stared too. I sent it on to my friend, who had the same reaction. She said it was as if each layer of wrapping was a prayer. It may sound fanciful but this is a very special Lady.
