Signed Abstract Tree Painting from Costa Rica, "Sperm in Motion"

In this painting, Costa Rican artist Olga Saenz Carbonell imagines the movement of sperm as it seeks to create life. She manifests that theme of life with the image of a tree, which is creatively formed by colorful sperm cells in vibrant colors of orange, yellow, green, and fuchsia. Says the artist, "Yellow is a vibrant color; the background is cold. It contrasts with the motion of life, with its fruits and beauty. Below, the force of the earth and life courses through the tree and its roots and insinuate a colorful garden."
