Set of Javanese Handmade Coconut Shell Owl Figure Ornaments, "Watchful Owls"
Whether you believe in the tale of the wise old owl or believe the owl to be an omen, there is no denying that the wide-eyed bird is rife in symbolism in cultures across the globe. Komang Sri crafts this set of owl ornaments using dark brown Balinese coconut shell. The body is painted in beautiful detail in a striking gold color and each ornament hangs from a gold-toned cord.

"Lovely to hold in your hand"

"Beautiful Hearts!"
I love these! My husband bought these for me for Valentines and I will cherish using them as decorations at many times of the year - Im definitely going to hang them on my Christmas Tree, but will find other ways to use them also. They are so well made and just lovely!

"lovely small Christmas gifts"
These ornaments make me happy, as though you can feel the peaceful spirit of the artisan. These are subtle and exquisite. I like the natural material and the delicate gold design. The gold cord is nice, but I swapped it for a very thin turquoise satin ribbon to add a touch of my own. I bought two sets of these to give as small gifts for friends in my writing group. I wrote a message on the back with acrylic paint pen -- just a few words plus the year -- in a blue that matches the ribbon I used.
