Evoking the mystery of the nativity star, Sierra Family artisans transform natural white onyx into a set of six ornaments. The Bible tells how a wonderful star appeared in the East to guide the Magi to Bethlehem, where the Christ child was born. Thus the star is a beautiful symbol of Christmas.

White onyx is not a solid color. Instead, it has natural veins that make each stone absolutely unique.

“Lovely Little Green Apple”

This apple reminds me of Bobby Goldsboros song LIttle Green Apples. I did not know that onyx could be green. It is the perfect color for this sculpture. Right now it is my one and only paperweight. I think it might also make a wonderful kitchen decoration.

“Like matching sets.....”

I also purchased the large marble and onyx chess set and though not bought as a set they compliment each other so well it is as though I did. Both sets are absolutely stunning. This Family Sierra have an eye for beauty. Thank you.
