This breezy cotton gauze shawl is created by the artisans of Consorcio, a women's cooperative in Guatemala that is dedicated to ending poverty and domestic violence. The shawl is woven on a traditional backstrap loom, with hand-knotted fringe at both ends. The abstract patterns are created using natural dyes and batik dyeing techniques.
