Details

Popularized during the Festival of African Culture, or FESTAC in 1977, the Benin ivory mask is a cultural symbol depicting the beloved Queen Mother Idia who lived during the Benin Empire of West Africa. Ghanaian artisan Alex Ansah Ampofo pays homage to this cultural symbol with an African mask, hand-carved from sese wood with a rustic clay-rubbed finish. Embossed aluminum accents complete this addition to your wall decor.
