A panel of embossed brass forms the "third" eye of this African mask from Ghana. Designed and crafted by Abdul Aziz Mohamadu, this mask is hand-carved from a single piece of sese wood, painted brown and rubbed with clay for a rustic finish. Embossed brass further accentuates the cheeks of this mask, which is named Jamuike, meaning "motivate me" in the Igbo language of Nigeria.

This mask has been hanging on the wall in our living room for the past couple of years. It has a great finish and gives a warm, welcoming and interesting feel to the room. Very happy with it.
