I ve been Collecting these for over 8 Years as One Leads to Another....The Fabric Feels Luxurious, Comforting and the Colors are Fabulous. I Especially Love wearing this one In Summer & Fall. Such a Bouquet of Colors, makes Coordinating a Dream. Very Versatile: After a Shower, Evening at Beach, Unique Casual or Slightly Cooler Temps. "My favorite sundress!"

"super nice dress"
The print is beautiful. It is a lovely flowing dress for hot weather. Washes well and needs very little ironing. Got positive remarks while wearing it.

"Very comfortable and light for summer"
This dress is lovely, I have two in different colours - each is a slightly different material and thickness. The sizing is large, I chose the smallest size (S) and it was a big on me, and Im usually a size S or M. I shrank it in the dryer.

Preserving Traditions
For eleven years Desak worked with a batik artisan learning all aspects of the process, from wax painting to dyeing. From her, she learned not only the art of batik and textile design but also how to care for her workers. In her workshop, Desak and the older artisans generously teach their art to the younger artisans, preserving for another generation this UNESCO cultural treasure.

Desak Nyoman Parwati has received 3 microcredit loans with 0% interest from Kiva and Novica, the first for $2800 and the most recent for $4000. Proceeds were used to invest in the purchase of textiles and batik dyes to increase production in time for the holiday season.

Through perseverance, Desak has grown her workshop. She now employs members of her family and give jobs to other artisans in her community.
