Red Murano Inspired Art Glass Vase, "Levitating Scarlet"
Incredibly seductive, this design by the Seguso Family combines modern design with glass-blowing techniques brought to Brazil from Murano Island in Italy. Three vases in different sizes reveal contours that are captivating, as the clarity of the outer surface reflects through the inner teardrop of scarlet.
The presence of air bubbles accentuates the nature of the traditional hand blown crafting process, making each piece unique.

"I almost hope my mom doesn t like it..."

...so I can keep it! This is a contemporary take on a glass bird. Rather than going for realism, it s not textured like feathers not all the primary color of the bird. There are areas of canary yellow glass inside the clear glass. Sometimes simplicity is still very cool. My mom collects glass and a few ceramic birds, but this one will be unique. If she loves it, great! If she doesn t love it, I ll happily keep it and I am honestly have enough tchotchkes!
