Arnaldo de Moraes captures the character and energy of Rio de Janeiro's iconic favelas in this colorful sculpture. He crafts three detailed homes from recycled wood and gives them in a true-to-life paint job. Urban graffiti includes the words "Only God," "Happiness" and "peace." A clothes line holds drying laundry.
Arnaldo is a native of Rio de Janeiro and the city remains one of his biggest inspirations. His work has been profiled in Guia de Artes Plasticas Brasil and is regularly exhibited around the country.
