This cotton wall hanging depicts a costumed masquerade against a yellow and purple background. Ghana's Oluwayemisi Adeniran crafts it using the batik method, where a wax resist is applied to the surface of the fabric before submerging it in vats of dye.
Titled Ilu Agere, meaning "masquerade" in Yoruba.
