Inspired by the festive masks used by the African Puno tribe, Ghana's Rapheal L. Commey creates this stunning mask. Hand-carved from a single piece of sese wood, this mask features squinting eyes, large ears and patterns on the cheeks that are created by embossed brass. An embossed brass composition further accentuates the forehead of this mask, which is rubbed with clay for a rustic finish.

"Love this mask!"

This wooden mask looks better than in the catalog. The colors are vibrant and the detailing is one of a kind. It adds a rich look to the area where its hanging.

"This now hangs in my bedroom!"

After going on a Safari in Tanzania I came back painted my bedroom and redecorated in an African theme. this beautiful wooden piece adds a great deal to the overall motif . It is a very good quality. The colors have inspired me to make another bed quilt using indigo blue as my focus. I am very glad I found this site.
