This panoramic painting depicts warriors on horseback, their spears poised for battle. Artist Nii Teiko Aryeetey refers to his style of painting as "Linenism"; the idea came to him from watching streaks of rain water as they were blown into slanted lines by the wind. In this composition, the lines seem to add tension to the pre-battle scene.
