Each year around March, Balinese citizens start the day by walking around the stunning coasts of the region as part of a purification ritual called Melasti. Aimed to help people leave their bad experiences behind, the ceremony inspires today Anak Agung Ary to create this suar wood decorative box featuring a polyester velvet lining and a hand-painted scene of the Melasti in the early morning.

"Small and simply beautiful"
Any art creation that features owls is sure to grab my attention, and Mr. Arys jewelry box is no exception. The poignancy expressed on the owls faces is remarkable. I returned to the website several times to view the box and felt the same attraction each time. I knew my daughter would treasure this and add it to her owl collection. All the art work is beautifully drawn, with the delicate lines flowing seamlessly from one smooth surface to another to cover the entire box. The artistry does not stop there. To access the contents of this box one must manipulate a clever lock carved into one end. Its the perfect little niche for your tiny treasure.

"Truly exquisite artistry!!"
My family & I really really love the sculptures by Mr. Anak Agung Ary. We bought 2 pieces by him: the long procession piece and the lovely couple Mapeed ceremony sculpture. We are soooo very happy with both pieces. We really appreciate & thank Mr. Anak for his excellent artistry! We highly recommend his art pieces.

"Beautiful item, pieces a little loose"
The interlocking pieces of this puzzle/jewelry box are a little looser than I expected, but that does not detract from the wonderful look and design. Excellent paintwork, nicely carved. This was a gift for my granddaughter, who very much likes sunflowers. My daughter and granddaughter are fighting over who gets to keep it now, because my daughter loves the butterfly on the box!
