Painted African Mask Handcrafted from Wood and Metal, "Hevi Vi"
Rich details make this original mask from Ghanaian artisan Evelyn Kafui Ahianyo a standout. The mask is carved by hand from sese wood, including a bird resting its beak on the crown. Embossed metal plates adorn the cheeks, chin and forehead, and bold colors give the mask a dramatic look. The artisan names the piece hevi vi, which means "small bird" in the Anlo dialect spoken in the Volta region of Ghana.

"Carved for YOUR Hand ?"

Ms. Evelyn has Outdone herself with This Creation ! I feel as if I?m taking a favorite piece of artwork with ?? whenever I reach for this cane, which is always. It provides a great balance as your hand is messaged by the neck of the bird. The wood is Super Smooth and as the neck curves one end is a tad higher than the other giving you an ergonomic option ?. I have both the darker one (245424) & lighter (245425). A lot of substantially coated carving that?s a Pleasure to use.
