“My name is Samuel Agyei Mante. I was born in 1953 in a town called Agogo in the Ashanti region. I am friendly, candid and above all jovial. I love to paint and I am a painter.

“I learned to paint from things I saw around me, and from school. I was able to master the art by observing and attending exhibitions and workshops. I use to teach art at my own art school in Accra (2000-2013). But I lost my school due to high cost of renting the school premises. Going forward, my hopes are to keep teaching art to talented youth.

“The media I use are acrylics, oils and watercolors. I am mostly inspired by wildlife. I have always loved nature from childhood. To a large extent, I organized an environmental awareness competition for schoolchildren. My dream for art keeps going wild. I am happy to be part of NOVICA.”
