Original African Painting of 3 Ghanaian Kpalogo Drummers, "Kpalogo Drummers I"

Three men pound out a cadence on their Kpalogo drums — the lead drum is tuned highest. The second support drum is a bit lower while the first support drum has the lowest tone of all. The musicians create the rhythms for the popular Kpalogo dance, a Ghanaian dance form that originated around the time the country gained its independence.
