Orange and Brown Zapotec Style Hand Woven Area Rug (2.5x5), "Zapotec Cross"
Mexico's Hernandez Lazo Family artisans hand-weave this beautiful, naturally dyed wool area rug. With a grey background, the pattern is in a Zapotec style with tan and orange crosses in the center with angular arrows in several shades of orange on each side. A solid rectangle of mahogany brown borders the entire rug, which is finished with fringe.
The fleece is colored with organic dyes derived from plants, nuts, bark and cochineal, so colors can vary and you may see faint shadows on the fringe. These are the natural results of the process and are evidence that you have a unique piece of handcrafted art.

"Love the design...but..."

The design is great and just what I was looking for. The back is the wrong color...way to light...almost white. Should be a color that matches one of the dark colors in the design. In addition, the back pocket is almost impossible to get the pillow insert in, way too much over lap. Using them in my office/guest room so its not a big deal, but if the back was darker and easier to get the pillow inserts in, these would be fabulous!

This pillow cover is very well made. The pattern is lovely. The feel of the cover is soft against the skin.
