Onyx and Sterling Silver Butterfly Balinese Pendant Necklace, "Nighttime Butterfly"
A butterfly gathers nectar, surrounded by a lush garden crafted of sterling silver. Balinese artisan Rupadana designs this pendant necklace, carving away the silver to reveal an oval stone of deep black onyx resting just beneath. The pendant hangs from a length of Naga chain.

"These earrings make an outsize statement for their size."
Pretty and delicate, the silver and carnelian complement each other beautifully. They hang lightly on the ear while creating a compelling picture of birds among a surrounding of flora. I have bought many products from NOVICA and have always been delighted with my purchases. Thank you Julie

"Really practical !"
These earring are so well made , can wear with anything. Can be dressy or casual... My friend loved them, wears them alot , soooo I bought more to give to other friends and my sister !! Need a pair for myself !

"Top Notch"
It was a birthday gift for my granddaughter. It was Love at first sight. She couldnt get it on her finger fast enough!! Good size and weight. I buy her jewelry from Novica because the quality is there..the jewelry will last for years if you buyer heavy gram weights. "Absolutely Gorgeous!"

Rupadana has steadily grown his workshop and now has assistants to help him.
Preserving Traditions
Rupadana incorporates traditional Balinese motifs and contemporary styling to create beautiful jewelry with traditional silversmithing techniques. He learned the art of silverwork as a child and started his own his own workshop with only 25 grams of silver. He has struggled through hard economic times but has steadily grown his jewelry project. He is proud to provide work for several assistants.
Caring for Children
As the seventh of nine children, Rupadana worked at an early age to help provide for his basic needs. Today he is proud to be able to care for his three children and provide them with a better life.
Profound Impact
Rupadana receives nearly half his income from Novica sales. They are instrumental to survival of his family and workshop.
