Artisans Jacqueline and Monica of El Salvador handcraft this cotton poncho dyed with natural indigo. Using the itajime dying technique, the artisans use carefully folds and resists to create pairs of vertical rectangular blocks of snow white surrounded by dark indigo. With an easy, relaxed fit, this poncho has a round neckline, is open at the sides, and is finished at the bottom with knotted fringe.
