An incredibly seductive vase, this design by the Seguso Family combines modern design with glass-blowing techniques brought to Brazil from Murano Island in Italy. Its contours are captivating, as the clarity of the outer surface reflects through the inner teardrop of red and amber.
The presence of air bubbles accentuates the nature of the traditional hand blown crafting process, making each piece unique.

"A Beautiful Eyecatching Piece"
The stunning vase has outstanding quality, is an exceptional piece of art glass, and far exceeded our expectations. We coupled it with the Amber Vortex centerpiece from another artist in Novica for a focal point display. They are a striking combination under lights. Highly recommend both pieces.

"Stunning , well made, elegant and weighted"
I am thrilled with this. It is not only beautifully crafted but the shape and contours are perfectly balanced. The piece has a nice solid weight found only in quality art glass. The color is consistent and glossy and rich. I adore this piece and it is a perfect compliment and match for the other taller piece of the same color by the same artists.

"Cute BUT Very Small!"

"Classy & beautiful"
I have this vase on a display shelf with another I bought from the same seller - they are both gorgeous. This one is a deeper blue than I expected from the picture, but I still love it!

Mario Seguso, the patriarch of the Seguso Family, was born in 1929 in Venice, Italy to one of the oldest and most famous blown glass artisan families on the island of Murano. His ancestors have crafted art glass since 1300. In 1956, Mario created his own workshop in Brazil. He has passed on his knowledge to his sons, grandsons and the artisans working with him. He is proud to have many assistants and to have trained eight glass masters in his workshop.
The Seguso Family provides work for a number of full-time blown glass artisans.
This artist is an elder master and continues to actively practice their craft.
This artist supports children under the age of 18.
