This batik wall hanging from Ghana reflects a tradition among African hunters where they pour alcohol onto the ground in order to appease the Alade Igbo, or "forest goddess." Artist Oluwayemisi Adeniran depicts the faces of the hunters in the batik style, drawing with a wax resist onto cotton cloth before adding colorful dyes.
