Details

"Black is the perfect counterpoint to these cheerful colors," Merida Family artisans say. Woven by hand on a traditional loom, cotton reveals Guatemala's jaspe art in onyx and a rainbow of colors. Jaspe is an ikat technique in which the threads are tie-dyed before placing them on the loom. The fabric becomes harem pants with a wide elasticized waist and more elastic at the ankles for a comfortable fit.
