"This painting portrays Ghanaian men wearing the traditional ntoma," artist Gordon Amponsah explains. "The ntoma is a traditional cloth that men of Southern Ghana wrap around their bodies. They sometimes wear it with matching hats." The young Ghanaian artist works in bright color closures to depict the men and presents the painting in a Manila board passe partout.
