This original and one-of-a-kind wall hanging from Edward Lamptey is crafted using the batik method, where a wax resist is applied to fabric to create the desired patterns. The fabric is then dyed in one or more colors, and the wax is removed. The artisan uses 100% cotton and midnight blue dyes for this hanging, and creates an abstract design resembling a patchwork quilt.
