Details

"I made this design in honor of Margot of Taxco, who to this day is renowned for her designs," Maria Belen Nilson explains as she presents her sterling silver creation. Born Margot Van Voorhies Carr, she came to Taxco in 1937 and married a famous jeweler, who taught her. After their divorce she set up her own workshop where talented silversmiths executed her original designs.
