Madhubani painting, "Elephant Harmony"
Created in the traditional style of Mithila, this delightful Madhubani painting celebrates the harmony of all nature. Devendra Kumar Jha depicts a mother elephant with a baby growing in her tummy. The pachyderms are quite detailed and ornate, while the rest of the composition is filled with colorful flowers. The artist uses vegetable dyes on handmade paper.
