All is color as a young bride is the center of attention. Working in the traditional Madhubani style, Devendra Kumar Jha depicts a marriage procession in rural India. The bride's parents bid farewell to their daughter as she is carried to the groom's home in a palanquin called a dholi. The artist paints freehand, using vegetable dyes on handmade paper.
As each painting is an individual creation, each is unique. Colors and motifs may vary slightly from that pictured.
