The French village of Laguiole in the southern Aubrac region has been home to an artisanal knifemaking industry since 1829. Styles have evolved, but each is still made by hand from start to finish by a single craftsman. This knife features a pressed-horn handle with brass bolsters encasing the stainless-steel blade.

"nothing beats the genuine article"
Have purchased another similar knife for display and as a letter opener but the Laguiole is truly the master of pocket knifes perfect detail and craftsmanship.

"This knife will give to me lifetime pleasure."
This knife replaces a multi tool device. It is so beautiful that I will keep it on top of my desk. Used mostly for opening mail, packages, and cutting string.

"Quality gentlemans folder"
Well-made, well-crafted. Feels good in hand. Be advised: The steel, while good quality, is very high-polish finish and so will attract fingerprints like single men to a bikini model. A cautionary note: This is not made for heavy use. Do not purchase intending this to be used for bushcraft or self-defense. Its best suited for peeling or cutting fruit or other foods, perhaps a little whittling, basic everyday carry. HOWEVER--the tension on the slip joint is VERY STRONG. Opening is difficult at first but should become easier with continued use. CLOSING REQUIRES CAUTION, AS KNIFE IS VERY SHARP AND CAN EASILY CUT FINGER IF IT IS IN THE PATH OF BLADE WHEN CLOSING. Dont say I didnt warn you.

"My Go-To Every Day!"
Not a day goes by I dont look at my Rain or Shine clock. With just a quick glance I can find out everything I need to know about the day (day of the week, date, time, 24-hour forecast, outside and inside temperatures with humidity levels). I really enjoy having this clock at my fingertips.
